The Dalbeys

Micah is the worship leader at Discovery. He was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana and graduated from Montana State University in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Music Education.

Micah has always enjoyed music. He grew up singing around the piano with his dad and brothers, and while he rejected his dad's prodding to learn the trumpet, he discovered another instrument which, frankly, seemed much "cooler" to play - the guitar. Since then he has lead worship at Bible Camps in Oregon and Montana as well as Alliance Fellowship in Bozeman – the church he attended from 1999 until his move to Missoula.

Micah loves biking, fishing, hiking, hunting, the changing seasons, and really anything involving the outdoors. He has often said that it would be impossible for him to live in a place without mountains or rain. Both "put him in a good mood." He also loves writing folk songs on his guitar. Oh, and he loves his wife. :) He got married to Larisa Springer (now Dalbey, of course) on November 4th, 2006. Larisa and Micah had their first baby, Aaron Micah, on September 11, 2008. In addition, Micah just completed a Master's Degree in Music Education.

If Micah were not leading worship in Missoula, he would likely be teaching choir at a high school or college somewhere. He's not sure where God will have him in 10 years, but for now, he loves Missoula, his ministry, his awesome wife, and his new baby!
